Worst EVER

Bruce and I went to have some pictures taken for our visas (stupid visas, see next post). I can honestly say that those are the worst images of my face ever captured. Picture a mid-pubescent overweight boy with a really bad haircut. Add in some red blotchy patches around the eyes and cheeks and VOILA there you have it. Good thing we had to make 15 copies. My self-esteem is at all time high. Of course there will not be a picture to go with this post. I’m all good to make fun of myself but don’t want that stunning image immortalized on the webber net.

Living with the Folks

The movers packed up our house and we are left with duffle bags of clothing and boxes of crap to organize and bring with us. It is so weird to walk through our empty house. It is also astonishing to see all of those sneaky dust bunnies that have evaded my vacuum. Grrr.

We will be staying with my folks for the next little while. Bruce has to go to blah blah stan and then blah blah other place later this month. When he returns we will have the “See Ya” party on March 7th and final departure afterwards. I'll keep you posted.

Hockey Pants

I thought I would update my blog as I have learned that at least 3 people look at this thing. By the way, one of those people who said that I couldn't get much worse hasn’t changed her blog since the New Year :)

So I tried on my Hockey pants the other day to see if I could still play on our awesome ladies team called Nellie.

Turns out when you’re 4 months pregnant the Jill (crotch protection) and pants feel icky. That’s the best way to describe it – Icky. Everything seemed to squeeze in all the wrong places. It felt okay to stand around, but the feeling of “stuff” (organs, fat, etc) being shoved upwards leads me to believe that I wouldn’t have had any lung capacity. I knew it was a no-go when I took it all off and felt a huge surge of relief (I had the gear on for a total of 4 minutes). I guess it will be shinny for the next couple of weeks.

Not Quite Yet

I don't think anyone really looks at this thing anymore...but for those of you who do -
Dubai. we are going to Dubai. When? February. Could this all change in an instant? Yes. In fact it can change daily.

Been a While

There hasn't been much to report since we've been back from Africa so far....
Now - It looks like we're off to Abu Dhabi in January. The contract has been inked, and the only step left to go is our "pre-trip." How exciting...

Ocean Paradise

We have been in Zanzibar for a few days now...enjoying the sand, the sun, the ocean, and most importantly, the cocktails!

We finished our 5 day safari late last week, and now in beach mode. The safari was fun, saw most of the same animals as we did in Masi Mara, but not nearly as many. The Serengeti was hot and dry, and most animals had already headed north to Kenya. We were hoping to see a kill....but only got as close as three lionesses stalking a buffalo....and no show to be had. We almost witnessed another kill later on at our campsite as a "cougar" was stalking some young Americans around the campfire. It seems these American animals were those of "flight" not "fight." It was another show not to be missed!!
Andrea got quite ill, victim of food poisoning along the way. The booze here on the island seems to be the remedy!

The resort in Zanzibar is absolutely beautiful! We have been just lounging around with a few excursions along the east coast of the island. We are snorkeling tomorrow around a coral reef off the coast, we are pretty excited!

We are back home on Saturday. Hope everyone is well!
