Neva is doing very well. I was Just been told it was a good case of chicken pox for a breastfed baby. Hmmm perhaps my own immunity is not so hot. Yikes.

Neva and Millie

The biggest dune around - 300 m. They have the entire thing fenced off so that you have to pay to drive on it. No walking, only driving.

Neva still loves Muzzie

The greeting I get when I enter the room. So heart warming.

This is the house behind ours. These lights stayed up for a week and would flash all night long. Lovely. That's our bbq below. This evening we were having a lovely time sitting outside watching the lights and listening to the Arabic music they were playing at high volume.

Argh

We are still having trouble getting our internet connected. Makes it difficult when there is only one service provider for the entire area and they are not too efficient. Grrr. Our neighbour was nice enough to allow me to use his internet today. Much nicer than trying to post while sitting in a mall. 

Have just figured out that this internet connection won't let me post pictures. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

Updates:

- House behind us had a wedding which means they had LOTS of lights on their house (think xmas vacation movie). The lights were on 24/7 for a week. Having our bedroom seem like a dance bar without the music all night long motivated us to finally hang those curtains. 

- Went to a place called Liwa to see the desert and some big Dunes.  Liwa borders Saudi and is at the top of the Empty Quarter.  We spent the weekend with Anna and Brian and their daughter Millie who is only 2 weeks older than Neva. It was a great weekend....

- Then I had to tell them the Neva was contagious with chicken pox over the weekend.  Excellent. Yes, Neva somehow managed to pick up Chicken Pox. The doctor said she was the happiest case he had ever seen. Guess our decision to vaccinate has been made for us. 

All is well.

Hi!

It feels like forever since I have been able to post pictures. No, we don't have internet services yet - I'm at an internet cafe. I am frantically typing and rolling Neva's stroller with my foot. Good hip flexor workout. :(

Here are some pictures to hold you over until the next available moment. 

First a quiz: What was my favourite morning activity during our ski holiday. Was it getting some fresh tracks? Nope....

 I love this picture. It is the result of telling him to smile, or say cheese. I can't remember but the faux smile is priceless.

Someone asked me if Neva was sitting on her own. I answered "No" and then realized that I had never put her down on the floor to try it. Here is the result. I love that she happened to be wearing her I'm A Star shirt  (thanks to the Sills for that one). 

The new Command Central (name stolen from Karla). Neva LOVES it.

No internet connection at our new place. It is coming....

I am currently sitting in a Starbucks at a "hotspot" trying to get all of my stuff done while her majesty allows it. She is singing to everyone in the cafe. :)

The rest of our time in Calgary was fantastic. Lots of time with friends and family. All perfect. 

The trip home was okay. Neva had one meltdown but all in all - she was a superstar. Of course. :)

Once we arrived home Bruce got the flu and I got a raging cold and Neva was eating every 2 to 3 hours around the clock. Lovely.  Nice little week we had there. 

We are all doing much better now. Neva is slowly figuring out this new time zone.  She is sitting on her own now and we just started solids. Her 6 month birthday is tomorrow. Holy Geez.
