Turks and Camera

 I love my new camera lens (thanks for the suggestion Cat). Here are the shots (many using this new lens) of our incredible trip to the Turks and Caicos.

We bought these goggles for Neva and they completely changed her swimming experience. No problems putting her head under and she was even looking for fish in the ocean. Most impressive was the fact that she is now swimming on her own (no floaties). What a difference a week can make!

Happy House

I am so lucky to have two happy kids (most of the time). F is a moving machine and it feels like it took her about a day to go from belly crawling - to proper crawling - to pulling herself up on everything. Her balance is quite good and people keep saying she will be walking in not time. Yikes! Although now that people have said that I'm sure she will walk around 18 months and I'm totally okay with that. :)

Has just figured out how to get up stairs. Drat!

Loves shoes

LOVES the bath. In fact we can't bath her before bed because it gets her WAY too excited.

My favourite - when she falls, she lays there looking around with a smirk on her face and calling out to anyone around her. Almost as if to say, "Hey, did you see that?"

My other happy girl. Is a good big sister....most of the time. Happy with her dancing, school, play time, and also LOVES shoes - to wear, not to chew.

The definition of excited

Would you rather?

Upon stepping out of the shower at the gym I realized that my "clean" towel had in fact been stored in B's hockey bag (or that's how it smelt). My options were:

A: use the towel and smell like icky hockey bag (no offence sweetie)
B: use my sweaty shirt that I had just worked out in
C: use the clean shirt that I had brought (but then what to wear after?)

So...what would you have done?

Christmas Party

Bruce's work held their Christmas party at Spruce Meadows and it was a really great event. We started with a Sleigh ride (on wheels due to the lack of snow), jumped in a bouncy castle, got a balloon animal,  face painting, eating, present from Santa, and a visit with Santa himself. 

I love these pictures as N has such a great smile, and you can see Santa wincing in the second photo when F gets good hold on his beard. :) 

The face painters were amazing at this venue. I asked the parents of this girl if I could take her picture. I thought her cheetah face was very cool.

N wanted a rainbow with snowflakes. Voila:

F had a good time looking at all of the kids.

A highlight was meeting all of the horses who were surprisingly open to being touched by the kiddies.
