Last weekend Bruce and I decided to go to Fujairah, a beautiful emirate on the east coast. It was our first road trip with Neva and all went well. It is supposedly a 2 hour drive from Dubai but we took longer. Neva doesn't love her carseat so we had to make a few stops. We only had one meltdown/emergency feed on the side of the road so I consider the trip a huge success.
We had to drive through the mountains to get to the coast. Here is a bit of what we saw.
We stopped at a beautiful beach in Fujairah for a little rest, cash stop, and much needed diaper change.

Looking left and right when standing on the hotel beach. I had to take these shots really fast, as I was a total rookie and didn't bring my shoes to wear on the sand.

Our hotel was located 15km and 25 speed bumps North of Fujairah city.
View from the beach
View from our hotel room.
The pool. Ahhhh. They kept this pool nice and cool (28). It was so refreshing to jump in and paddle around.
Our set up - it was so great that they had huge umbrellas so that we could spend time outside and keep our younger fair skinned redhead out of the sun.

It was so great to spend time outside and not feel like your skin was melting off. We are looking forward to many more of these days.
